At EconoSimplified (https://econosimplified.com), operated by B.R.I.S. Bandara (student project), your privacy matters. We collect minimal data for site functionality only.
1. Information We Collect
- Comments: Name, email, website, IP address, browser info (spam detection only)
- Mirano Tool: When using Mirano Goal Planner, you provide goals/data voluntarily. This generates a custom prompt submitted to Perplexity AI (third-party) to create your plan. We do NOT store, save, or access your input data.
- Cookies: Session cookies for comments/login convenience (expire 1-2 weeks)
- Analytics: No Google Analytics or tracking pixels used
2. How We Use Your Data
- Spam protection on comments
- Generate AI prompts via Mirano tool (processed by Perplexity AI only)
- Improve site functionality (no personalized ads)
- We NEVER sell, share, or use your data for marketing.
3. Third-Party Sharing
- Perplexity AI: Mirano tool sends your prompt to Perplexity.com for processing. Their privacy policy applies.
- Gravatar: Email hash for profile pictures (if commenting)
- No other third parties receive your data.
4. Data Retention
- Comments: Stored indefinitely (for auto-approval of follow-ups)
- Mirano inputs: NOT stored – processed once by Perplexity AI
- Cookies: 1 day to 2 weeks maximum
5. Your Rights
- Request data export/deletion (email: info@econosimplified.com)
- Delete comments anytime
- Opt-out of cookies via browser settings
- If in EU: GDPR rights apply
6. Security
Your data is protected with standard security practices. Comments use spam detection only. No payment/ sensitive data collected.
7. Children’s Privacy
Site not intended for children under 13. No COPPA compliance needed.
8. Changes to Policy
